Smida Jazz Festival – A Retreat into Music & Nature

The Challenge

Smida Jazz Festival is more than a music event - it’s an escape. Set in the heart of nature, surrounded by mountains, it offers
three days of jazz, connection, and slow living. Attendees camp under the stars, walk barefoot on the grass, relax in hammocks,
and immerse themselves in music. The lineup blends renowned and emerging artists, many performing in Romania for the first time.
It’s a space for music, meditation, and presence.

We crafted the official aftermovie, capturing the festival’s soul - intimate moments between people, their connection to nature,
and the magic of live jazz in an open-air setting. We filmed serene walks, spontaneous dances, quiet sunlit pauses, and the raw energy
of the night concerts. We spoke to artists who shared their deep, personal experiences performing at Smida.

We used:
Cinematic shots of the breathtaking mountain landscape embracing the festival.
Close, unfiltered moments of people lost in music and in nature.
Dreamy, sun-drenched visuals by day, contrasted with the pulse of concerts at night.
Thoughtful artist interviews revealing the festival’s impact.

The Result

A film that’s a tribute to music, nature, and the beauty of being present.
